Rental Equipment Tester/Junior Technician
We are currently seeking a Rental Equipment Tester / Junior Technician to be responsible for setup, testing and maintenance of  rental equipment for Cansel clients across the country from a central fulfillment facility in Toronto. Reporting to the National Service Manager you will maintain all rental equipment for clients in the geo-spatial survey, mapping and scanning industry.
In this role, you will:
  • Configure rental equipment & systems to customer’s spec’s
  • Inspect, calibrate and maintain rental equipment
  • Ensure rental systems are returned from customers complete & in good working order
  • Schedule and plan equipment service & maintenance
  • Monitor rental deliveries & logistics
  • Maintain up to date equipment checklists
  • Assist senior technicians with equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain rental area in a clean and professional manner
About you: 

We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual able to work within a team environment and also possess the ability to work with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will possess:
  • Minimum grade 12 high school diploma
  • Post-Secondary education or experience as an Electronics Technician an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work activities in a fast paced environment
  • Good mechanical aptitude & experience with hand tools
  • Knowledge of computer information systems and survey equipment an asset
  • Experience loading software/firmware onto field computer devices
  • Excellent verbal, phone and email communication
  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
