Cansel is looking for an experienced Project Manager/Business Analyst to work from our Head Office location in Burnaby. This is a new and exciting role within our Information Technology Department responsible for working as the liaison between business stakeholders and the IT delivery teams.  Our projects range from small to large and involve technologies including SAP, Salesforce, Dell Boomi, Hybris, custom development and SQL. Our project methodologies are flexible to meet the needs of each project.
In this role the IT Project Manager/Business Analyst is responsible for managing projects from initiation to closure, working closely with stakeholders across organization to get projects delivered.  This position requires the ability to lead project teams, to capture business needs/processes, and steer the team to deliver on project’s goals. Working with project stakeholders and team members you will ensure the proper documentation is in place (timelines, requirements, specifications, business rules etc.) so that the projects are set up for success.
In this role, you will:
  • Identification of tasks required to deliver a project then establishing a project plan from inception through to delivery.
  • Support and guide team to execute on the project activities making adjustments and decisions as needed (be creative and discover ways to adapt to change)
  • Monitor and mitigate project risks along the way, escalating when a project is at risk
  • Communicating with stakeholders and project teams
  • Understand/capture business needs and work with project teams ensure that projects deliver to those requirements
  • Facilitating meetings and discussions including daily standup meetings, project kick offs, project meetings, requirement sessions, stakeholder updates etc.
About you:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, technology, project management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in either a Project Management, Business or Systems Analyst role.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and appropriately escalate issues
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes and define business and/or functional requirements
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
  • Experience with various project management methodologies including agile.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members and project stakeholders at all levels of the organization, whether administrative, technical, managerial, or leadership
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with CRM and ERP software
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working on projects that involve SAP, Salesforce, integrations, ecommerce, reporting
  • Experience in change management
  • Experience in business process design
  • French language
