As one of the most vital professions in the company, Cansel’s Graphic Designer will support the full range of marketing initiatives through a wide range of external and internal communication and design projects including, but not limited to; sales, promotions, advertising, online marketing, press releases, acquisition integration, the website, and web and email/direct mail. Successful candidates will be talented designers and project managers who thrive in fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities. They’re comfortable acting as liaison with sales, management, and external stakeholders for projects and promotions and will have the knowledge, skill, and positive attitude of a high-performer who’s keen to help Cansel and its subsidiaries remain competitive and achieve our desired business goals. In this role, you will have an outstanding level of autonomy and influence to execute your ideas!
 
In this role, you will:
  • Illustrate concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type, and style, and related aesthetic concepts, then obtain approval of concept by submitting rough layout
  • Manage brand style in conjunction with C-suite executives
  • Disseminating finished copy and art on appropriate channels
  • Project Management – maintain dashboard of projects. Actively work with Managers to determine cost-estimates and timing for communication projects
  • Tradeshows – assigned tradeshow project support and activities
  • Website – updating content and contributing to the overall design and layout effectiveness of the site
  • Social Media – creating graphics to accompany press releases, product announcements, promotions to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Emails – format content
  • Brand Compliance – ensure all materials, internal and external, are professional and meet brand standards
  • Graphic Concepts – working closely with the Graphic Designer and the Marketing Coordinator
  • External Supplier Management – obtain quotes and manage contracts for signage, external print jobs, etc.
  • Special projects as assigned.
About you:
  • 3-5+ years of relevant design experience
  • Collaborative and unafraid of thinking outside the box and brainstorming!
  • Digital design and UI/UX experience
    • Art direction experience/knowledge
    • Excellent communication skills as well as creativity and innovation
    • Experience with HTML and/or CSS preferred, but not necessary
    • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and strong technology skills in general
  • A degree in relevant discipline is an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing communication practices
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects to completion and within deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills
  • High level of initiative with the ability to self-motivate
  • Works well in collaborative, diverse, and changeable settings
