Regional Operations Manager – Eastern Canada

This position is to be based in Toronto or Montreal. The Eastern ROM is responsible for managing our branch operations managers, facilities and operations staff in eastern Canada and reports to the SVP of Operations.

In this role, you will:
  •  Review branch operations to ensure procedures are followed and improved
  • Increase operational efficiency by 5% annually over the next five years. The ROM is responsible for reaching efficiency goals in both the region and the company.
  • Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures to support these efficiencies.
  • Continually building and developing a strong team
    • Ensuring all staff are well trained and performing at a high level
    • Ensure staff are well motivated and their Career development is being managed
  • Create an environment of excellent team work across all areas and all staff at Cansel
  • Ensure excellent Customer Service, this includes speed, accuracy and completeness in these areas:
    • order fulfillment
    •  invoicing
    •  customer data
    •  inventory
    • stock levels
  • Maximize cross sell and upsell opportunities with the customer service team.
  • Resolve any customer issues
  • Review open orders with branch operations managers
  • Assist in the integration of new acquisitions
  • Coordinate renovations of new buildings and closure of redundant buildings
  • Travel regularly
About you:
  • 5 years’ experience in an operations leadership role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management and change management
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong SAP experience or similar ERP system.

  • Relevant industry experience is an asset
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
