POSITION SUMMARY
SolidCAD's Professional Services Department is currently seeking a new Civil Engineering -  Technical Consultant with experience in the civil engineering and surveying industry. The position is based out of our Fredericton Office and under the responsibility of the Regional Director - Professional Services.
As a Civil Engineering Technical Consultant, you will contribute to the success of SolidCAD by assisting our customers in implementing Autodesk (and our other suppliers and partners) solutions for the civil engineering sector, provide training and supporting users. You will also participate in presale activities with the sales department.
To be successful in this function you must have extensive experience in civil engineering, surveying and strong technical skills in the use of Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
 
FUNCTIONS AND RISPONSABILITIES        
Participate in managing opportunities in the field of civil engineering from initial opportunity to implementation, working in conjunction with internal and external sales.
•             Analysis of customer needs,
•             Preparation of site plans with recommendations,
•             Interfacing the proposed solutions with those used by our customers,
•             User training in our offices or in client facilities,
•             Mentoring within the company for the use of the products at the start of the project.
•             Technical support,
•             Preparation and execution of corporate presentations (seminars / demonstrations),
•             Definition of working standards (drawing standards, modeling, process, security / sharing etc.),
•             Participate in different projects as necessary,
•             Additional related tasks
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The Civil Engineering Technical Consultant has a wealth of knowledge and a solid understanding of Autodesk's offerings for the civil engineering, surveying and industry standards sector. We are looking for candidates who have used and put in practice Autodesk technologies, such as: AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk Recap.
The position of Technical Consultant Civil Engineering requires the following qualifications:
•             Bilingual: French and English (written and spoken)
•             3 to 5 years of experience in a Surveying or Civil job,
•             Diploma or Certificate in civil engineering or relevant experience
•             Relevant experience in municipal engineering, ideally in a consulting engineering firm
•             In-depth knowledge of Civil 3D software
•             Knowledge of CAD software
•             Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (client and server) and the Office suite,
•             Excellent communication skills,
•             Able to travel within Canada and occasionally to the United States,
•             Possess a valid Canadian drivers license.
•             Autonomous and able to manage priorities in a multitasking environment.
 
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
The following qualifications will be considered important assets in the processing of applications:
•             Experience in surveying and field / office workflow
•             Knowledge of Trimble software & equipment (or other) an asset
•             Geomatics knowledge and related tools.
